Back to blogging, back from my honeymoon, and back to living a somewhat normal life. This past month (month already!) has been a whirlwind. I got married, moved to Charlotte, went on a beautiful vacation, inherited a new family, and started living with a boy. What a beautiful year it has been so far (الحمد لله) with adjustments that have been a little difficult but nothing compared to planning a wedding. It's crazy to think that I'm married. When I was younger I looked at those who were married as old, mature, and too responsible to have fun, and to think that's the new stage I've accomplished in my life is nothing short of weird. It has been a blessing so far. First of all, to call such a wonderful man my husband. A person who makes me feel as if this transition is a new experience filled with happiness and crazy memories to come. He's the reason why this change is exciting and worth it. Charlotte has also been good to me. It may not have the beaches of Charleston, but the skyline of downtown has given me a warm fuzzy feeling that has made me comfortable with the decision of leaving a place that I loved so much and adjusting after our beautiful honeymoon. Because it has been a little over a week since we've been back, I'm still settling into our new place, searching for furniture, and trying to figure my way around town. I will say that the advantages have been outweighing the disadvantages though, and I'm really excited to begin this new adventure in this lively city. To all of those who were able to make it to my wedding, thank you for being the reason behind my happiness on such a special day. Also, Ramadan Kareem to those who are fasting this month. May it bring you peace, serenity, and happiness as it has for me so far.
