There was one pre-fall morning when my room mate and I decided to take a trip onto King St. Saturdays are great for walking around in Charleston because the Farmer's Market brings food vendors, artisans, and fresh produce to liven up Marion Square. While this would have been my 2nd or 3rd time at Jeni's Spendid Ice Cream on King, it always feels like my first. The phenomenon started in Ohio, and the flavors have such a great range from pistachio & honey to goat cheese & red cherries. All of her ingredients are farm fresh, without any artificial flavors or chemical dyes...and truth be told, you can definitely tell. This ice cream place jumped up to the top of my list, making it my go-to spot for dessert in Charleston.
