triple berry mojito

First let me say, I am not a drinker.  I am, however, all about herbs (that sounded terrible..)  There are many times when I am out a restaurant wishing that 1 of their delicious sounding drink options were non-alcoholic.  That's usually always the case with mojitos.  The combination of citrus juices & mint leaves take me back to Jordan, when nearly all lemonades have an overdose of mint leaves in them. Now that our days in the south have turned to summer, a refreshing drink poolside is always much needed.  The best part about this recipe is that it's non-alcoholic for people like me, but it's easy to make into a real mojito for those of you who do!
You'll need... (set aside)
10 strawberries, 2/3 cup blueberries, 2/3 cup strawberries, 3 sprigs of mint
One of the greatest things about summer are the ripened berries.
Look at what I did with them last year.
2. Boil 1.5 cups of sugar, 1.5 cups of water, & 10 leaves on a stove
when boiling, reduce heat to low for 2 mins, set aside for 20.
{this makes a wonderful, minty, sweetened, syrup!}
While that's going on...
3. Put all berries in a blender & add 1 cup of water.  Add the juice of 2 lemons, and one lime. Blend til liquid
Like this...
4. Strain juice to get all the seeds out
Time to put this baby together...
5. 2 large spoonfuls of syrup, & 2 leaves at the bottom
6. Add ice & a few more berries, then some more syrup.
This is where it gets fun.
7. Add 3 spoonfuls of juice, and top off with club soda.
{this is where you can add the rum}
oh yeah.
and here is the recipe for those of you that need it without the pictures
